Nicole Fewell was introduced to tonic syrup when she received a bottle as a gift from a friend who had brought it home from an international escapade. Nicole was intrigued, and when searching for another bottle found that it was not easy to come by. The tonics she did find offered flavour profiles that didn't jive with her palate, so in true Fewell fashion, she decided to make her own. After a great deal of research and testing, Porter's Tonic Original was born - clean flavours of lemon, lime and lemongrass in a rich base of Cinchona Bark and Organic Agave - and hit the streets of Calgary in early 2013.

More than a decade on, Porter's Tonic has grown to six flavours and is stocked in close to 50 stores and restaurants across Canada. Every bottle is still made in small batches in Calgary, and Nicole's passion for all things food and cocktails is still what drives it.
